ABOUT THE RACE
Set at the heart of Snowbasin Resort, this alpine retreat in the Northern Wasatch is framed by sweeping ridgelines, forested slopes, and expansive views stretching toward the Great Salt Lake. Thoughtful, boutique-scale details create an atmosphere that feels refined, welcoming, and deeply connected to the Wasatch landscape.
On race day, flowing, runnable trails wind through sagebrush, aspen groves, evergreen forests, and open mountain terrain. The elevation profile is challenging yet achievable, rewarding rhythm and strategy as much as strength, with every climb unveiling breathtaking panoramas.
Beyond the trails, the weekend transitions seamlessly from mountain to metro. Just minutes from the start, the vibrant city of Ogden offers curated dining, live music, and a thriving outdoor community. Rooted in Olympic history and fueled by local pride, Snowbasin by UTMB emerges as a premier Wasatch destination, blending big mountain energy, runnable alpine terrain, and refined details designed for trail runners who seek more than just a race.

UTMB Cares
Through UTMB Cares, we have set out to achieve something extraordinary by caring for the amazing environments that host our trail events. UTMB Cares is a program of The IRONMAN Foundation. Since 2003, over $55 million has been provided through IRONMAN and IRONMAN Foundation charitable giveback programs to more than 10,000 local, regional, national, and global nonprofit initiatives. Including $50,000 in grant funding for clean-up and restoration efforts of the Western States Trail, enjoyed by The Canyons Endurance Runs by UTMB® runners, in partnership with Western States Endurance Run and The Tevis Cup. Together, we are on a quest to engage our community and care for our race surroundings through grant funding and volunteerism efforts.
